National Poetry Month: Poem 23

Poem 23

On Leaving the Beach

By Michelle Garren Flye

Beds are made, towels and sheets washed.

One more walk.

One more chance for sandy feet.

Watch the waves lap the shore,

Foam curls around toes.

Then home to unpack the clothes.
